Rest Day in Rimouski

Amazing how doing not much but cycling and eating, and there is still a bag full of laundry to do every few days.

Rimouski has an excellent bike path that runs all along the waterfront.

You are definitely more tempted by the view over the water than by the utilitarian waterfront skyline.

Away from the bike path, the car is definitely the King.

After the previous day's ride, it was time to give the bike (and the butt)  a break and we walked along the shore to the docks to check out the boats (what else is a sailor going to do). There was even a Coast Guard presence to be found.

And we saw the catamaran ferry leave for its afternoon run to Forestierville.

The clouds are darkening all the time and it is announcing the first real rain of the trip but we are still smiling (Joe because he has just crushed me at Minigolf).

But I get my revenge on the pool table later while we watch Brazil beat Croatia 3 to 1 in the first match of the World Cup.

Then, it was off to Greco for some seafood amidst a boisterous, tattooed and flashy restaurant crowd. Truly the place to be in Rimouski on a Thursday evening but to say more would be against the Code of the Road.

What happens in Rimouski stays in Rimouski....
