Bye Bye Bixi

Is it really possible that the powers behind the Bixi bike sharing program are so blind to their customers as to imagine people will happily convert themselves into moving billboards?

 

I am totally in favour of the Bixi program; anything that gets more bikes on the road is a plus in my book. However, if cities such as Valencia and Barcelona can manage to implement similar programs without falling prey to this form of visual pollution why cannot Montreal? 

Sure, have your billboards at the Bixi stands but keep some dignity with the bikes themselves.

I had purchased a Bixi membership last year for my son, but there is no way in hell I am renewing it this year in order for him to be a corporate shill.
