When it is a disaster area like Avenue du Parc north of Mont Royal Avenue. Roads torn up for months, which is just the excuse for those cyclists who live to endear themselves to fellow citizens by riding on the sidewalk.
The only thing I can't understand is why the police at the intersections controlling the traffic lights, due to the construction, don't spend a little time ticketing these two-wheeled pariahs? Maybe they are waiting until April 1st when the bike paths finally open.
With my sea days behind me, it is travelling by two wheels exclusively now...

Early Spring/Late Spring
My great plans for some indoor winter training were overwhelmed by the inconvenience of a broken ankle. Now with a right leg that is a shadow of its former self and several weeks of physio on the horizon, my spring riding will be limited to what can safely be managed on a half-strength ankle and what I can see out the window.
On the plus side, this has motivated me to get into form and get out riding!
